Currently all completed units are occupied but enquiries will be taken for future developments on site.
Renewable energy for the site includes solar thermal power, and gasifying log burning boilers. Heating will be low cost as this is supplemented by the solar panels and gasifying log burning boilers which provides power for the under-floor heating. Future plans include wind and water turbines.
All units have multiple double 13amp sockets at 1m above floor level. Each unit has its own electricity meter and 3-Phase electricity is available.
BT have provided cabling direct to each unit and provide each tenant with a phone line and broadband.
All units have their own WC and hand washing facilities. Water is provided by Northumbria Water and is metered. Future plans for the site include a bore hole for water provision.
The site has planning permission for retail providing rare out of town retail opportunities. 10% of the floor area of any unit can be used for retail providing what is being sold is made or prepared on the premises.
There is extensive free car parking and provision for persons with disabilities such as a disabled toilet unit on site.
Site security includes an 8ft grade 2 listed stone wall with gate piers and new wrought iron fencing and decorative gates. The site is fenced and there are CCTV cameras and security lighting.
Each unit to let is currently charged at £7:50 per square foot with an initial lease of 3 years. An additional small service charge of £350 per year per unit covers site management.
